Failla Occidental Ridge Pinot Noir
We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.
This wine is comprised of three separate blocks from the Occidental Ridge Vineyard, located just outside of Occidental, California. This cool-climate vineyard provides us with the 114 clone, which is fermented with 10% whole clusters in an upright foudre. Additionally, both the 667 and the 777 clones are de-stemmed and fermented in stainless steel. After 12-14 days of native fermentation with gentle punch downs, the wines is basket pressed to barrel and allowed a native ML conversion before aging on lees for 11 months. The barrels were 30% new French oak, 30% second year, and 40% third year. As with all of Failla's wines, they use no SO2 on the crushpad, make no additions, and bottle unfined and unfiltered.
