L. Aubry Fils
Aubrys make a strong case for taking Meunier seriously, and this wine stands with the Non Vintage from Jose Michel, Gaston Chiquet and René Geoffroy as the finest "basic" Meunier Champagnes I know. Meunier is resistant to frost and thus it's often planted in marginal vineyards and therefore despised! Treat it well and it responds with all those pretty flavors of pumpernickel and sorghum this wine has. It's playful and lithe, like a dancer. It flies on a giddy trapeze of fruit, at once both tingly and velouté, almost starchy.
Wine Advocate
The NV Brut Premier Cru is wonderfully expressive on the nose. Exotic passion fruit, dried apricots, spices and mango emerge from the creamy textured, mid-weight frame. The wine continues to blossom on the palate in an utterly captivating display of class. Quite simply, this is an incredible wine at this price point. Aubry makes their Brut Premier Cru in solera style in which the wine is 50% the current vintage (in this case 2006) and 50% the prior year's final blend. The Premier Cru is 50% Pinot Meunier, 25% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir, disgorged in May, 2009, with 6 grams of dosage. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
